Bhuj: The Pride of India Movie Review

With a quick introduction to the geopolitical backdrop, the film starts on an exciting note. Even if you don’t know the history, it can assist you to understand the basic problem. However, with the inclusion of numerous characters and their tracks, things quickly became more complicated. The writing makes it even more difficult to grasp things. It gives off a sloppy vibe. We are introduced to Ajay Devgan as Vijay Karnik in a very mild introduction before cutting to Sanjay Dutt as Pagi, an informer/spy who is assisting an Indian Army battalion led by a Braveheart (Sharad Kelkar). None of the cast members can make an impression since the screenplay fails them. Sanjay Dutt looks completely unconvincing slaughtering a thousand enemy warriors with a little ax, while Devgan doesn’t get any Taali maar moments. The technical aspects are just as bad, especially the visual effects, which turn key situations like the aerial raid and final landing of our Indian force aircraft into a video game-like joke. Bhuj has been a squandered chance. There was a terrific story here, but the filmmakers utterly screwed it up. This is a film that will not help any of the cast or crew members advance in their careers. Except for Nora Fatehi, who finally moves on from being an item girl to a legitimate role.
